Current programs
Sunday school Hour
The Sunday School program is on a break for the summer.
Nursery-age 4: Third Floor Room 300
K through 6th Grades: Gospel Light Curriculum, Basement Room 002
The multi-age curriculum used in WCF’s K-6th grade Sunday school class teaches the fruits of the spirit through song, bible story, art, games, and other activities. Each week, we focus on another fruit, cycling back through several times during the year, each time with a different biblical application, scripture reference, and set of activities for each fruit.
56 Club (5th & 6th Grades): Meets once a month, Basement, Room 001
For 5th and 6th graders exclusively, the club meets once a month. Past activities have included collecting food for Martha’s Table, planning and organizing mission fairs about missionaries in Jordan and Malaysia, church lockins, fellowship outings such as ice-skating, dining out, etc.
2009-2010 schedule: Dec 13, Jan 24, Feb 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 12 (Sleepover Lock in at the church starting around 4pm), June 13 (Breakfast through noon – Mission Fair). There will be additional meetings for fellowship outings outside of these times. Those dates are yet to be determined and parents will be notified.
Children’s Church, 10:00am-11:30pm
The Children’s Church program is on a break for the summer, but nursery/classes for ages 0-5 will still be provided.
Children in nursery are welcome to come upstairs at any time. Children ages 2-6th grade join the congregation in a time of corporate praise and singing, then they are dismissed to their classes.
Nursery (under 2): Third Floor, Room 300
2–4 Year Olds: Hands On Curriculum-Yellow Level, Third Floor Room 301
Spend time with the 2′s-4′s at WCF and you will certainly come away energized! We dance, color, sing, listen, play, smell, and even taste our way through Sunday mornings, using the popular “Hands On” Bible curriculum to explore stories and concepts from the Bible. Our emphasis is on basic familiarity with God as Father and as Son. We also introduce the children to the Bible and its main characters. Come join us—we always welcome new friends!
K through 6th Grades: Basement, Room 002
Kid’s Connection Curriculum (3xmo)
K-6th grades use the Kid’s Connection curriculum from Faith Alive Resources, and this curriculum is specifically designed for multi-age worship and learning. After the central theme is presented each week, there is room to divide into smaller groups to delve into the theme at age appropriate levels.
Arts Wheel (1xmo)
One Sunday each month, we have a group of dedicated volunteers who lead our children in an “arts” focus. They may prepare a short drama for Christmas, a song for Easter, a service project for Earth Day or visual display for the Sanctuary during the summer.
Note: On months with a 5th Sunday, children in K-6th Grades stay in the main sanctuary with their parents. The worship service aims to be kid-friendly with special music, kid’s time, and children participating as readers, ushers and special helpers.
