Fall 2010
“A River Created by Many Streams: Drinking deeply from the Traditions” -led by Rich Gathro.
(starts September 19, 11:30am, 2nd Floor)

This year, the WCF community is spending 40 weeks exploring together God’s story, our individual stories, our corporate stories and how all three intersect. Understanding the history of the church and how God has worked through different denominational traditions is an important aspect of all of these stories. As we drink deeply from different denominational traditions in this class, we will learn about church history and practices that have shaped us and, in many cases, are still molding us as God’s people in the world. Knowing where we have been and the aspects of history that have shaped us can help us look forward to where God is leading us. Come join this series as we learn and grow together.

Rich Gathro, the lead teacher for this course, is a former pastor at WCF, and currently serves as Dean and Special Assistant to the President at Nyack College-DC campus. He has a Master of Theology degree focused on Church History, and also is a Doctor of Education (Ed.D), focusing on psychology and philosophy. Rich is an excellent teacher combining great knowledge with a strong pastoral presence. You won’t want to miss this class!
