Youth Sunday school

WCF provides Sunday school classes for junior high (grades 6-8) and senior high youth (grades 9-12) Sunday mornings from 11:15 until 12:15. On the third and fourth Sundays of the month (and the occasional fifth Sunday) WCF has partnered with neighbor church Christ Our Shepherd (COSC) to provide a time of Bible study, relationship building, and sharing with others teens with similar beliefs during this Sunday school hour.

For this school year the junior high youth are studying ‘Essentials for Young Believers: Giving as Much as I Know of Myself to as Much as I Know of God’ written by Scott B. Heintzeman. This is a Bible study with lessons like ‘Is the Bible Accurate?’ ‘Is the Bible for Today?’ and ‘Living a Balanced Christian Life.”

Senior high youth are discussing what God has to say about issues they all face today, such as self-identity, media and entertainment choices, and how to talk about faith with those who don’t believe. In addition to Sunday school the WCF youth, in conjunction with COSC, are invited to participate in planned activities outside of Sunday morning Sunday school. A calendar of youth events can be found on the master calendar page.

Youth Sunday school meets in the basement at WCF. For more information please contact Rebecca Trego at rebecca [dot] trego [at] gmail [dot] com or Valerie Rheinheimer at vjrhein [at] gmail [dot] com.
