Brian grew up in a musical family in Southern California during an era of growth in new worship music during the 70's and 80's. Calvary Chapel and Vineyard were vibrant centers for music just minutes away from his college campus; both had a tremendous influence on Brian’s love for vibrant, relevant worship that transforms people's lives. After graduating from Eastern College in Philadelphia with a Masters Degree in Economic Development, Brian and his wife Dawn spent two years in Bangladesh as missionaries with the Mennonite Central Committee. From there, Brian joined the US Agency for International Development as a foreign service officer and his family has spent the better part of the last two decades overseas--living in eight countries and working in nearly a dozen others (mostly in Africa).
Brian's passion for music has continued throughout his life and across continents. Although he’s down to play almost any genre from afro-beat to rock, blues and soul, pop by a DC lounge like Mr Henry’s on a weeknight and you just might catch Brian playing with the Capital Lab Band, a local big band jazz ensemble.
