There is free on-street parking all around the church building on Maryland Avenue, 9th, 10th and 11th streets, and E street. Please take note of the parking restrictions during the workday (Monday-Friday, 9 am-6 pm).

There is no dress code and you will see a variety of styles. You will meet some people dressed up in their “Sunday best” and others dressed casually. Wear what’s comfortable for you and come with an honest and open heart.

Children are a welcome part of the WCF community! On Sundays, children participate in fellowship, age-appropriate classes and worship.

From 9-9:25am, we have our fellowship time. When you arrive at church, check your children in at the station downstairs, and head up to the 2nd floor for a donut! (And coffee for grown-ups). Children are welcome to hang out and enjoy the treat.

At 9:25, you may accompany your children to the 3rd floor to be dropped off at their classes or the nursery. Classes for children and adults run from 9:30-10:15am.

The worship service begins downstairs at 10:30am, with all children welcome to join us! The nursery will still be available for babies through Pre-K ages.

For families visiting for the first time, pre-register each of your children to speed up check-in when you arrive. Simply enter your phone number at the check-in station when you arrive.

Worship at WCF is a blend of traditional and contemporary music, celebration, teaching and sharing.

Our building is wheelchair accessible via the 'Annex' entrance on 9th St NE.

Large-print materials and audio listening devices are available during worship services. Please ask an usher for assistance.

We seek to be welcoming to all. Let us know how we can improve.

Yes. Persons identifying as LGBTQ+ are welcome at WCF. Gender identity and sexual orientation bar no one from participating fully in the life of our congregation. We are glad for all who come to worship God and share their gifts as we seek to know, follow and serve Jesus together. We have a variety of beliefs and convictions about sexuality and gender. We are neither thoroughly “affirming" nor thoroughly “traditional" as a faith community.  Read about WCF's Third Way Approach to LGBTQ Inclusion here.

There are opportunities for spiritual nurture for children, youth, and adults during our Teaching hour at 9:30am. Adults are currently studying the Gospel of Luke, along with the series on "How to Read the Biblical Narrative" from the Bible Project. Children's classes include songs, a Bible lesson, and a craft or other activity.

Adults remain on the 2nd floor while children attend their classes or join the nursery on the 3rd floor.

Read more about our children's program and our youth program. And read about our ongoing ministries, which include several different options for adults.

We will continue streaming our worship services live for the foreseeable future.

WCF seeks to be a welcoming and safe place for those in the congregation with life-threatening allergies to latex, fragrance, and nuts. Read here for more information.
