Join us for Adult Nurture After Worship to explore how African American Literature can make our faith more whole and just. Author Claude Atcho wants Christ’s church in America to see how integrally connected (1) the Gospel’s offer of new life in Christ is with the (2) social justice that flows from Kingdom living.

Registration remains open with the offer of a discounted price of $10 on Atcho’s book. Or you can also simply show up in class. You can pick up your copy of the book at the same discounted price when you come. Snacks are provided.

The classes are co-led by elders Jerry Herbert and Kay Hart. March 5th's class is led by Kay Hart on Atcho’s Chapter 4 where we explore (1) the life and promise of Jesus, (2) Countee Cullen’s poems, “Christ Recrucified” and “The Black Christ”, and (3) Christological passages from Galatians, 1 Timothy, and Romans.
