Throughout Scripture, we see how God calls a particular people to a particular place at a particular time in history to reveal God’s kingdom to the world. God’s people have always been called to participate in privileged mission of revealing God’s redemptive work in the world. As we begin 2020, one of our priorities as a faith community is to pay attention to where God is inviting us to work with God in the surrounding community through prayer and intercession. In this series, we look at how Jesus intercedes (aka stand in-between, or act on behalf of) for his followers. Because of Jesus’ intercession for us, we are also invited to intercede for the people we are in relationship with, for our communities and for the needs of the world.
