Alex is a lifelong learner and wildflower enthusiast. The daughter of a Dominican immigrant and an Alabama native, Alex is sensitive to notice and highlight the qualities that unite us across cultures and communities. She is grateful for her parents for modelling how to lean into grace and how to be flexible whenever life gets challenging. She received a bachelor's degree in Art History from Birmingham-Southern College, and she is presently in pursuit of a Master's degree in School Counseling and Educational Leadership. Alex is passionate about promoting confidence in women, advocating for children, and finding creative ways to make learning opportunities out of missteps. She can usually be found reading, drawing, or bird watching at home with her two dogs.
