Alex is a lifelong learner and wildflower enthusiast. The daughter of a Dominican immigrant and an Alabama native, Alex is sensitive to notice and highlight the qualities that unite us across cultures and communities. She received a bachelor's degree in Art History from Birmingham-Southern College, and she is presently participating in a leadership studies cohort with Yale Divinity School's Youth Ministry Institute. Alex is passionate about promoting confidence in women, advocating for children, and finding creative ways to make learning opportunities out of missteps. When she's not coordinating a project at 9th & Maryland, she can usually be found reading, drawing, or bird watching at home with her two dogs.
