The Leadership Discernment Committee has been affirmed. The LDC appointed by the elders consists of: Judy Brenneman (deacon), Jerry Herbert (elder & LDC chair), Jessie Martin, Mim Mumaw (presiding deacon), and Val Rheinheimer.
Next, we ask members to discern others who would bear this call of leadership well. The revised "Discerning the Call" brochure can be used as a guide when discerning and nominating individuals. The elders encourage strongly that leadership teams, small groups, and households/friendship circles spend time talking and praying together as they walk through the Scripture passages referenced under “Qualifications and Responsibilities,” and then agree together on naming one or two within their circles.
Please submit suggestions for nominations to the elders by May 15. We are not naming people to accept nomination, but asking them to agree to several months of discerning with LDC members, with them making their final decisions to stand or not in September.
