WCF is launching a STEM Summer Program which offers a safe, supportive, and educational FREE day-camp, with age-appropriate games, activities, and lessons to engage upper-elementary and middle school students in STEM curriculum, while working to address the Pandemic Learning Gap as it has affected student’s academic and social-emotional learning.

 

STEM SUMMER CAMP

8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

Week 1: July 12 - July 16 - Space Exploration

Week 2: July 19 - July 23 - Climate & Conservation

Week 3: August 2 - August 6 - Science to make an Impact

Space Explorers Camp
Day Camp July 12 - July 16

Students will be transported to space and learn about the past, present, and future of space exploration and astronomy through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) activities, lessons, and games. Students of all levels are welcome. Don’t be surprised if your child comes home wanting to be an astronaut!

Climate & Conservation Camp
Day Camp July 19 - July 23

Students will become eco-warriors within their own communities after this camp. We will learn about the future of our planet and how to be better stewards of the environment within our neighborhoods, the DMV & the world! We will learn about Climate & Conservation through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) activities, lessons, and games. Students of all levels are welcome.

Science to Make an Impact Camp
Day Camp August 2 - August 6

Youth are agents of change! Youth will gain an understanding of diversity in science and how topics in math and science help our society create powerful impacts. We will learn about how science has created change and impact in our own communities through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) activities, lessons, and games. Students of all levels are welcome.
