Ragan Sawyer

Ragan Sawyer was born in Alabama and grew up in the sunny and historic Saint Augustine, Florida. She graduated from Florida Southern College receiving her Bachelors in Psychology and currently is a student at the University of Miami working to receive her Masters in Education with a concentration in Community Social Change.

She enjoys the opportunity to support those in need through collaboration with community-based organizations aspiring to create a better world. Ragan finds joy in the intersection of her passion for community development, education, and traveling. Previously, she was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines and a 1st-grade teacher and 9th-grade science teacher in Honduras.

Ragan is excited to join the WCF community and create meaningful relationships. She is also new to DC and is interested in learning where to find the best tacos, the coziest bookstore, and the coolest dog park for her dog Sedona in the DMV area.
